Before these disturbing questions, the answer is offered by faith. It is an answer contained in the very event we commemorate today [Good Friday]: the death of Christ. While, indeed, the night is still dark, we can already glimpse the dawn of the new day, the day of resurrection. The final victory is not of death. The last word is of God, who will resurrect, on the third day, the only-begotten Son immolated for us.”
